Danas je u dnevnom listu Politika, u rubrici Među nama, objavljen interesantan dopis Branka Rabotića o izlasku prvog turističkog vodiča za Srbiju napisanog na engleskom jeziku. O samoj knjizi, koja će svakako doprineti većoj popularnosti naše zemlje kao turističke destinacije, gospodin Rabotić kaže:

Ovaj poduhvat zaslužuje sve pohvale, ali moram uputiti malu kritiku na očajnu nijansu zelene boje koja je korišćena (dobro, to nije nešto što se ne može ispraviti).
AdSense - jedna priča
U želji da se bolje upoznam sa fenomenom AdSense načina reklamiranja (čitaj: da zaradim pare na brzinu), pristupio sam procesu prijavljivanja koji je veoma jednostavan. Primenjujući rođenjem stečeno lukastvo, kao e-mail sam naveo moju @gmail.com adresu, nadajući se da će to doprineti bržem prijemu u društvo bogatih.
Šalu na stranu, posle dva dana sam dobio obaveštenje da je sajt primljen u AdSense program. Mome čuđenju nikad kraja - mislio sam da se prihvataju samo sajtovi na engleskom jeziku (ok, nisam se baš preterano interesovao za ove stvari, nemojte mi zameriti)? Kad su me već primili - red je i da postavim te reklame na sajt. Naviknut na lepotu Gmail-ovog interfejsa, ostao sam zatečen ružnoćom AdSense control panel-a - ružnoća je možda prejaka reč, ali mi sve deluje nekako nedorađeno. Mada, o ukusima sa ne raspravlja.
Kada sam, konačno, postavio kod na stanicu doživeo sam prvi šok - reklame su se ispravno prikazivale! Pošto imam običaj da citiram strane izvore, čini se da je to bilo dovoljno da algoritam generiše solidnu kolekciju RPG linkova. Ovo “solidnu” trebalo bi uzeti sa rezervom, pošto sam posle dva-tri dana konstanto viđao identične oglase. Da li je problem u nedostatku oglasa sa RPG tematikom, ili nečem drugom, nije mi poznato. I da, nijedanput nisam kliknuo na oglase. Niko nije :=(
Drugi šok sam doživeo kada sam stranici pristupio iz Internet Explorera. Od oglasa ni traga ni glasa. F5, F5 i ništa. U čemu je bio problem? U tome što sam AdSense kod kopirao u Firefoxu a koristio u Internet Exploreru (tj. ubacio u index stranicu bloga - ovo je neophodno pošto Movable Type i Firefox ne sarađuju baš najbolje). Kada sam probao IE -> IE kombinaciju, sve je profunkcionisalo.
Pošto su mi posle nekoliko dana (kako to obično biva u životu) reklame dosadile, jednostavno sam ih izbacio. Time je moj put u mutne vode plaćenog oglašavanja završen. Barem za sada

GURPS Traveller
Jedno od legendarnijih RPG izdanja, koje zaslužuje da bude spomenuto na ovom mestu, je svakako GURPS Traveller:
First published by Game Designers’ Workshop in the summer of 1977, Traveller was one of the first science fiction roleplaying games (indeed, it was one of the first RPGs of any sort). Traveller rapidly became the standard against which other SF roleplaying games were judged, and influenced many other designs in many other genres. The game went through several editions over the years, and quite a few changes were incorporated along the way. One of these was the Rebellion, something GDW did to bring conflict and excitement to campaigns that had become dull and mundane.
